MR. & MISS PALISADES TEEN CONTEST – MARCH 7, 2012
Residents of 14 – 18 years of age compete for the title “Mr. and Miss Palisades” and a $1,500 scholarship. Teens are judged on poise, character, communications skills and talent (of any type). This is a great opportunity for teens of different schools to meet, have fun and gain a great addition to their resume or college application. One male and one female will be elected to represent teens at event in our community throughout the year. Those interested in an application should contact Arnie at the chamber office at 310-459-7963
COMMUNITY EXPO (JUNE)
Health, Technology, Environmental, Financial, Home & Garden provide a variety of information and education in one afternoon in a relxxed and familiar environment. A classic auto display provides extra enjoyment.
INSTALLATION – JUNE 14, 2012
With the Installation in June and the General membership Meeting in November all of our members come together annually in two different social settings. Programs include speakers, entertainment and in-depth preview of the Chamber’s plans for the year. This year the Installation Dinner Dance will be held at the Riviera Country Club Ballroom. SIDEWALK SALE
In July, sidewalk sales and bargains around each corner. Enjoy browsing up and down our well-heeled, well-loved sidewalks. Shops and restaurants will be opened all day to serve you. Seize the day.
POLO TOURNAMENT – SEPTEMBER 30, 2012
Exciting summer fun at Will Rogers State Park. The Will Rogers Polo Club forms teams sponsored by Chamber member businesses and plays a two-day elimination tournament. One team and its sponsor are crowned “super-polo” champs of the year.
VILLAGE FAIR – OCTOBER 21, 2012
A community event in the Fall that’s fun for all ages. You’ll meet and greet neighbors and friends while having lots of hometown fun. Enjoy music, food and entertainment.

New members are honored by a Chamber breakfast. Along with socializing with the Board of Directors and other members, they are given an opportunity to introduce themselves to the gathering.

EARTHQUAKE AND DISASTER PREPAREDNESS COMMITTEE
A group dedicated to educating the residential and business communities about how to prepare for emergency situations.
GRAFFITI-BUSTERS
A squad of residential and business volunteers who eradicate graffiti so our community remains beautiful. This program is funded by the Chamber and personal donations.
P.R.I.D.E. (Protect and Renew Our Identity and Environment) a team of dedicated people whose goal is to enhance the look of the Palisades by raising funds to carry out its plans to install sidewalk tiles, trees, beautiful benches, trash containers, street signs, and lampposts.
